I have more than 20 years experience of making the [PEOPLE STUFF] easier.

I spent 21 years in HR at Hallmark Cards, Inc., where I specialized in helping clients achieve their business strategy by getting the right structures, cultures, people and talent processes in place. As a member of the HR executive team I influenced strategy, policy, and the employee experience, becoming known as a champion for diversity, equity and inclusion.

A significant (and favorite) part of my career was coaching employees, managers and working with executive leadership teams. I was also the dedicated HR support for the family office established by Hallmark’s founders, and fell in love with the family office industry.

I started my own consultancy, Talent Outside the Lines, to help family offices maximize the value of their people portfolio via coaching, building culture and belonging, strategic HR and organizational planning, and team and talent development.

I earned a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Minnesota, and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of St. Catherine. 

I’m known as being a high-energy strategic partner and trusted confidante, who takes my work but not myself too seriously.  I enjoy time with my family and dogs, and visiting my original home in Montana.
